Jul 7, 2008 - goalkeeper? square field? You think these are BIG factors in gaelic football and you claim to play the sport? They are completely insignificant. A circle pitch would have minimal effect on a gaelic football match, and the removal of the keeper would be a small issue. There is not a lot of emphasis on goals in gaelic football. crazy comments. international rules is basically aussie rules with a round ball

Jul 7, 2008 - I believe your third point is a stereotype. Aren't all aussies ex-cons? The internet is full of idiots. The irish are quite dirty yes. It's a part of gaelic football that both players hassle each other off the ball. The aussies dont play like this supposedly and reacted differently to how a gaelic footballer would. Its a cultural issue. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT SPORTS. Stop arguing. I doubt you are like this in person.

SPEAKERBOX is trippn...true,our games part irish as many of us aussies are.tho the games from our aboriginal fellas and combined when the english/irish arrived. the series is really no more than an excuse for our AFL boys to have a holiday o/s and give a few irishman a flogging.

Jul 7, 2008 - Gotta love some of the well informed comments here. Such as Ireland is protestant and part of the UK.. We're a republic not like ye in the shitty commonwealth. They were playing pure Gaelic football.. That's sharp why exactly do you think its called compromise rules? Gaelic football was copied from aussie rules... I Think not, it came over to ye through Irish convicts.. Ireland is athird world country... or maybe, just maybe we're4 oe of the richest per capita in the world
ezyroller Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Looked like a good game. Dunno 'bout the round ball, though. It makes it all a bit predictable. Wonder how the Irish would go with an AFL ball...

Jul 7, 2008 - Actually,AFL was invented by the indiginous australians 40000 years ago.the ball was made from possum skin.
hill16lala Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - bullshit seen as gaa was only introduced in ireland in the last 200 years and that you australians modelled aussie rules off gaa
