Remember, this was done after the rise of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Janet Jackson and Prince as (up and coming) visual media icons. Performers weren't allowed to stand and sing. They had to dance, give visual bling.It's a great faux R&B song. She should have lounged on a stool and let that amazing voice blaze.
