Nov 18, 2008 - At 2:25 Jagger says to Mick Taylor "Play that guitar boy" and play he did! The combination of Mick Taylor and Keith Richards could not be beat. Together they made the Stones of 72-73 the best EVER.

Clerkpro Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Yeah, it's interesting that he referred to Mick Taylor as "boy." And Taylor carried the Stones, just as he did for so many years after Brian Jones death. I like Ronnie, but Taylor took the Stones to heights they never reached again.

Nov 18, 2008 - Hey don't get me wrong I love the Mick Taylor era it is the best years of the Stones. But it's the songs we love and the songs are Jagger/Richards. "Sympathy for the devil" "Gimme Shelter" "Can't always get what you want" "Honky Tonk Women" ect where all written before Taylor joined the band. Taylor left the Stones to do what? Join obscurity? his greatest claim to fame being "jeez he sure was great with the Stones" He should have stuck it out and I bet he wished he had.

Nov 18, 2008 - Some valid points to be sure and I got a good I'll always believe that on stage Mick Taylor brought out the best in Keith Richards and vice versa, more so than Jones/Richards or Wood/Richards.

Nov 18, 2008 - That last post should have read "Some valid points to be sure and I got a good laugh out of your join obscurity comment"Also, is it the songs we love or do we love the way they sound? Gimme Shelter for example, sounded so much better from 69-73 with Mick Taylor than it ever has in the years since.

Nov 18, 2008 - He felt a little as an outsider and didn't care for the party scene. He had enough after 6 years. He didn't want to continue, and you gotta give him props for doing what he believed in and not what everyone else wanted. It was his life.

114175 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I guess you're right king. The bottom line for me is, I've always been a Stones fan and especially the years that Mick Taylor was with the Stones. Of the countless bootlegs I've managed to obtain over the years, I keep gravitating back to those from the Mick Taylor years as being my favorites.

GodKeef Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I like Richards-Taylor combination the best. Stones were simply untouchable throughout early 70s. I just love it when Mick J. and Keith sing together, I think their voices are distinctive from each other but mix well.

jackmalcic Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - this is a good clip but its just lip singing and fake guitaring look in 0:21 mick steps back from the mic early

LizSparrow777 Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - I think that the sound and video aren't synched up.

GodKeef Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Yeah, right that's what I was thinking. Stones don't do fake, man. And I know the original version of Dead Flowers and it's not same as this one.

kingofthedeep Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - The vid clip is not perfectly in synch with the audio???!! It is the show bitch

Vrbaski Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - lol @ dude saying it was synched. Anyway, this video is fucking crazy. I love that solo Mick Taylor plays, it's so good. But it's also funny to see him on stage, looking like an absolute robot, while Jagger prances around him thinking, "move boy". Lovely video.

grandmasteryeager Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - hej, I think it was taylor's robotness giving the reason for his short time intermezzo in the RS. Nevertheless he was - or is still ? - a brillant guitar player. Don't know and who cares in these times...WE, the People :-)

kingofthedeep Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - Please don't bitch.It's The Stones.Sweetness.Relax.

wroleSwayne Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - You're right man! But the song is great!

scottymacIII Says:

koolala Says:

Nov 18, 2008 - You are forgiven.

cherokeebonnet Says:

nsra1933 Says:
