Nov 18, 2008 - I LOVE Hornblower (and I'm very fond of Bush, too)! I've never seen this serie, but I've read all the books and I've seen the 1951 movie with Gregory Peck. I think that he looks much more like the Hornblower I imagined reading the books than Ioan Gruffud.

Nov 18, 2008 - *sighs longingly* Lt. Bush is SOOO damn hot! His voice just sends me over the edge. Doesn't matter what he says. He could read the back of a can of turnips and I'd be fainting over him!!!!!

Nov 18, 2008 - I love the Sentry makeout scene, we'll rant and roar scene, and the Jump scene. Great series, they didnt really finish the whole thing.
LuciusTheFair Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - He was 17 in the first episode. King Louis dies in that episode, which means its 1793.In the 7th episode, its the end of the peace in May 1803. Horatio celebrates the New Year, 1804, with his newlywed wife in the 8th episode. This would mean Horatio Hornblower is approximately 28 years old in the last episode.28 years old and becoming a Post-Captain is an amazing achievement in the Royal Navy.

Nov 18, 2008 - My favorite moment ever has to be the Jump. Especially when Paul yells out Lt. Bush's greatest line, in my opinion:"I CAN'T SWIM!!"Priceless.

Nov 18, 2008 - Very well done. Turnips, yuck. Anyway, Paul McCann was in a film where he was the lead suspect in a murder investigation. I didn't see the ending but the film played like we wouldn't know who-done-it until the very end. David Warner was great as Capt. Sawyer as well.
