I could say that say Cliff Burton is my favourite bass player, thats my preference in reality Claypool would run circles around him and Wooten or Pastorius around Claypool and so on. Though you can't really compare there them, there is a difference between your favourite bass player and who is the best player, like how i just demonstrated.
