Oct 8, 2008 - Very talented young man. I enjoy his pianism. The 'Islamey' dance can actually be a bit slower and more dance-like, with a 'harem' in the middle section. But not to complain, it is always a pleasure to hear this piece carried on through the next generations.

Oct 8, 2008 - Sorry, but this is not International Chopin Piano Competition.

Oct 8, 2008 - Yeah, the incorrect(-ish) chord at the end could just be considered as a bout of bad luck :P. There must be maybe a hundred or much more such chords in the piece; that chord at the end just happened to be one that would stick obtrusively out (which it did). Well, that's just my input.=^,-,^=

Oct 8, 2008 - A very refined and musical performance. I think the final chords can be reined back in tempo which may reduce the risk of split notes. I think it sounds better that way, too. Overall, a magnificent interpretation.

Oct 8, 2008 - I've tried to learn it before, couldn't get beyond the first 5 pages. Too, too hard. =P

Oct 8, 2008 - He looks so....loose and careless....but in a carefree, professional way. =P

Oct 8, 2008 - 1:18- 1:21His face reflects the music, thats pretty awesome.He's my favorite still-alive pianist.

RedFoxAce Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Sounds like most pianists that you like are dead. There must be a curse in here somehow =P

PianistSang Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - My favorite pianist is Rachmaninov, then Horowitz, then Kempff. All great pianists. But dead.Lim dong-hyek is an AWESOME pianist.

BachFong11 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - ugh...this is like the hardest piece in the world...lol

Oct 8, 2008 - this is such a nice piece. You can feel that Lim Dong-Hyek is really enjoying the piece of masterpiece. A very enjoyable performance. Good Job!! :)

jacqlovesnews Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - I LIKE RACHMANINOFF TOO!!! Kempff is also great!!! I heard him play Mozart sonatas before...the intrepretation is very good...as well as the other details. Do you likr Rachmanioff's Piano Concertos? :)

RobertJV24 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Not to start a competition here, but arent Liszt's Transcendental Etudes the most difficult pieces ever?

BachFong11 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Umm...not really, college kids play those. Yes, they are quite difficult, but this piece is on the brink of playable vs. unplayable. Sure, there are a lot of pieces harder than this; HOWEVER, people never play them! Hence, this piece is very very difficult because it is reachable. Get it?

RobertJV24 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Understood. But I read somewhere that the 5th Etude was probably the most demanding piece ever. (Source wikipedia.)

iluvS2music Says:

rihyun Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - He looks like he's having a great time. :D

rihyun Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - The only piece that I imagine is more difficult than this is Scarbo (but Lim Dong-Hyek can play that too :D).
