GB and France were not prepared for war. mobilisation would take weeks...foolish Poles expected from GR n FR more than they could have receive, besides neither really cared for Poland, it was just the casus belli those warmongerers needed to attack Nazi Germany.

Oct 8, 2008 - "foolish" Poles thought that GB and FR will realise our agreement which standed for declareing war in two days after invasion and to start full offensive 15days after. Somehow they didn`t attacked (except couple Km near Saarbrucken), your theory is incorrect, only country which really wanted to fight was nazi Germany.

Britain declared War on Germany because of invasion of Poland!And as for the comment Britain and France would have declared war on Czechoslovakia if they hadn't surrendered? FANTASY! Britain did all it could to hold back Hitler and what did it get in return ...nothing! We are an Honourable Nation. I feel sad reading some of these words.

Oct 8, 2008 - it's hard to imagine actually being there as this happened... it's mind blowing to fathom that it did happen. in a lot of ways it reminds me of watching here in the U.S., as people chanted USA at the 2004 republican convention, and how most people were all tricked to thinking going to war with iraq was the right thing (as the staged attack from poland by germany). some things haven't changed.
