Jul 7, 2008 - Duane Allman was and will always be the best lead guitarist that the Allman Brothers had/will ever have.

Jul 7, 2008 - dont anybody ever say a bad word about Duane Allman...24 years old ...and one of the greatest guitar players ever...

Jul 7, 2008 - I couldn't agree more strongly. Why can't we disagree respectfully? If you don't agree with someone, make your point intellectually. People who resort to foul language and name calling are, to me, admitting they aren't intelligent enough to defend their position.

Jul 7, 2008 - Wow, this is amazing. I wish there was more footage of the original Allman Brothers lineup. Duane was freaking awesome on a level I can't even begin to describe, may he rest in peace.

teriphillip Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Hey gwilliam45 thats Thom Doucette. What happened to him?
wharfrat89 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - the original allman brothers was Americana at its best....Hollywood, Applepie, and the Allman Brothers.
huaso97 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - That would be Thom Doucette. He played on several albums. He did not want to be a member of the band because he didn't want a "Real Job", but he participated in a lot of gigs and recordings with the Bros. Currently, a yoga instructor, and every once in a while you hear from him playing somewhere here in Sarasota, FLPeace & Love

Jul 7, 2008 - I don't know about any video but there is a web site of Bill Graham's concert archives called Wolfgang's Vault that has some great audio concerts that you can stream. Allman bros from 1971, CSNY from 1969, Derek and the Dominos, Airplane, Yes, Traffic, Fleetwood Mac w/Peter Green, Cream, Virgil Fox all in the peak of their powers. Great Stuff.

Jul 7, 2008 - Why they don,t release this is beyond me. A lot of have the whole thing, maybe that's the reasoning. But, hell many have Led Zep's Knebworth and they released it!!!! MCDSPLACE in Macon, Ga.
Funkbutter49 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - I think it's so absurd that they don't film Duane during his guitar solo. It's as if the person filming had no idea where the sound was coming from, and thought the rhthym guitarist was soloing. Anyways, dunae sounds great.
breakfastisready Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - The only band I've ever heard that sounded both laid-back and explosive at the same time.
longboarder1960 Says:
