It's a comedy for (and of) the twenty-something generation of hipsters, flakes, and fakes. It's about trying to find hope in the age of irony... trying to find something to believe in.

Oct 8, 2008 - YouTube can expand an account to allow for longer videos. We were finalists in the Project: Direct shorts contest last fall, and that got our foot in the door.

I think I need to watch it again, there is alot of dialogue I didn't catch. But I love the message though, definitely sharing this with friends.

Oct 8, 2008 - Awesome movie. Seriously. It's one of the best independent films I've ever seen. I had no problem following the dialog, and thought all of the characters, while a little over the top, were very cleverly written. Please make more movies.

Oct 8, 2008 - you're gonna take issue with the japanese flute as a patronistic ethnic faux pas, but then you call her a "little japanese girl"? I'm not tryin' to be an asshole here, but c'mon!

cultofsincerity Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Just a quick note on the Japanese flute issue. It's supposed to feel a bit uncomfortable, as Kiko plays into the stereotypes that she's very aware of. So moments later, when she says she made it up, we're free to say, "oh thank god! The filmmakers weren't serious about that!"

CabbageBunz Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - What is really scary is that I know people that talk like the characters in this movie. Great movie. It really made me think. Oh yeah, and while we're being sincere, I didn't understand all the dialogue.

whodoyoudancefor Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - your cinematography is impressive, bravo. scripting needs some work, though -- not trying so hard would help, methinks. also, better actors. much, much better actors.

creamycaffeine Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - So, I heard that the direcs were professing Christians - if so, what's up with the "mother-f-----"? I'm all for realism, but couldn't you have stuck another word there? Personally, if you're Christians, the language in this movie and the moral ambiguity make it something I'd not recommend to my parents. If not, I applaud your video-making. It was beautiful to watch from that perspective.

DeBunker7 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - A slow mover. A lot of good scenes here, but you must introduce a deeper complication or problem that will ignight and drive this plot, which right now is not happening. That problem (whatever it is) will grab the audience and propel the movie. As it sits, a lot of creative scenes here, but sincerely overall, its not going anywhere. Intro the sensitive Japanese girl, however, a good try.

JacksonStoneJr Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Beautiful movie! Shows the ironies and inconsistencies of young adulthood. Showed it to all my friends as soon as I finsished it. They loved it and I love it. Hope this can be considered for the Cannes Film Festival or another Indie film festival. If this has already taken place, forgive me.
