And if you're not alive in the wild it sure doesn't give much chance to jeopardize local crops or fauna! (Plus they're carnivores...)It's all just such a lot of crap. And like you said: they make great pets!!

That's just what i've heard about and read about as being the reason as why they're banned, thankfully I don't have to worry about it tho cuz the state i live in allows them. I think it's crap too that there are many people in the world who want to own a ferret and aren't able to because of some dumb law.

I was adding more information to what you said & agreeing with you 'cause I think you're TOTALLY RIGHT! I think it's crazy that they're banned for these illogical reasons. The good news though is that they're currently only banned in California (I think. There may be one other state...) and there are a lot of groups in CA working very hard to get them legalized. WAHOO!! =D

I guess i'm a little paranoid about posting that comment in general now cuz awhile back, at one point, I noticed it had an average of like -3 ratings, pissed me off considering i'm not the one who made up the law, and i was just replying to someone's comment asking why they were. Anyway sorry again bout that.Yeah that sucks about California banning them. I know they're banned in some other countries too!

I love YouTube, but I will never understand it!Hey! I just saw you're from Milwaukee too! The shelters here and in Fox Valley have *tons* of ferrets available at super affordable rates if you're looking to adopt one. I emailed them and they were incredibly helpful. :)

Anyway I own a ferret myself (love her to death) but my best friend used to have two ferrets but one died a few weeks ago and she wants to get an older, more mature one for her remaining ferret, she doesn't want to get a baby since hers is already about 4 years old. Anyway i'll be sure to let her know about the shelters! Do you know offhand if the Humane Society on Wisconsin Ave has any?
