Jul 7, 2008 - You are a Coloratura-Soprano. This voice is divided into:1) a DRAMATIC coloratura sopranoand a 2) LYRICAL coloratura soprano

barclyde Says:

lokitrix Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Well I have sort of an oboe-ish voice. So what am I?

silvr94 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I think your rather a lyric coloratura soprano... but I'd have to hear your voice... would you say your voice is dark or light??

Royalorgans Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I think she sing this greatly but Joan Sutherland has more agility and makes it come alive, But Edda Mosser doe good.

oppgarden Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - her voice is strong but very good

carlosdevivo Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Joan never reached her f that demands this aria, her diction of the German was very bad, and her coloratura though good, too rapid. Sutherland is together with Maria better soprano that to existed... but her "Der holle rache" is simply mediocre

coolest07noevac Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - i love the strong yet rawness of her voice. i think many versions of this song has gotten too "pretty". many singers have forgot the story behind the song and i the moser embodies what mozart wanted when composing this piece.

xgianpatrick Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - yes, but she paid a price. That voice did not age well. You can't get away with this kind of singing for long, as much as I love it.

ptichkagulnara Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - uvergleichbar...!!!!

Loryos Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - what happened to her??

xgianpatrick Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I imagine the voice was pushed too hard for too long. I heard her live in the early '90's and was saddened. It was not nearly the same voice that was so stunning in Brentano Lieder or Solemn Vespers of earlier years. You can't sing a high F full voice and hold it FFF and not do some damage. Thrilling singing, but the career was shortened. It's a choice, I suppose.

Sowoidnich Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I always thought this is the best interpretation ´til I heard Diana Damrau 2003 in Covent Garden...

Jabe88 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - NO no no... Moser has stated in an interview that she fell very ill during the late 70s. Her illness caused her female hormones to drop dramatically, which caused her voice to become coarse. She said that the illness also took a very long time to be discovered, hence the permanent damage to the voice. But thanks to her technique, she was still able to sing brilliantly, although with a less 'attractive voice'. Unfortunately!

Trackstar2000 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - She was so amazing. But she pushed her voice to much. So did her conducter husband. For years she took on many lyrico and coloratura roles. I feel so bad because she was so good I mean Amazing, Brilliant.

freegman007 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - AMAZING, AWESOME, a sigular and exceptional interpretation of this aria.

Laeliapurpurata Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - WOW! Except for those botched semicroma.

giocappello Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Simply AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

oneworldguy Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - The same thing Diana Damrau is preventing from happening to her. See, this kind of singing will destroy your voice if you do it for too long. Kind of like tanning your skin too much will make it age more quickly? This is a voice type that needs to be preserved very carefully.

lehava960 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This is unbelieveble! What a voice! Simply the perfect!

Trackstar2000 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - How can this damage your voice? But I did read from some link I found on google she was performing heavy dramatic roles. So how is Diana Damrau doing?

raigekimaru Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - her voice combines the height and agility of a coloratura with the dramatic intensity of a lirico spinto. perfect combination

EmilyGreene1984 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Well, if you have the wrong techinque, you can still wreck your voice over time by singing this sort of stuff - even if your already a dramatic coloratura soprano. Also, if you tried to sing this (unless it was transposed, altered, to fit your range) and it wasn't within your natural, healthy range of voice - then you'll instantly wreck your voice.

endairagoth Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - BRAVO!
