Oct 11, 2008 - Does the built in Wifi still work with ubuntu or do you have to install a driver?

closetwhackamole Says:

cornflaker Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - Come on wtf is internet slang, it hardly needs to be capitalized, and "I'm suprised you passed year 3" obviously means Dante1969 has grammar skills less than what you would expect of a year 3 student. Also I think you missed the words what and is: "aside of the typo WTF "I'm suprised you passed year 3" supposed to mean...?"

franpetro Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - great! can i use that with 512mb RAM???

jester070993 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - could i install ubuntu on my eee pc by just connecting a cd drive and put in hte ubuntu disk and boot it and install it? would it be that easy?

pepe6666 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - Yup. It's so easy the retarded police man could do it. Its um... actually a lot less painful than installing Windows. Its not that it's difficult installing Windows - its that it takes a long time screwing around installing things. Ubuntu is pretty much automated, and smarter all-round.

dobsonator Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - yeh it is be really easy, just set up ur eee in the bios to boot from cd-rom in the bios. and then follow the onscreen instructions when its loaded the installer from the disc.

jester070993 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - ok, thank you very much

KimBiixX Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - when i would donwload ubuntu on my memory card..would it still works on my eee pc ive the memory card is removed??

tom997 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - You could use a USB memory stick if the boot CD was installed on to it. Google it, there's a lot of good info on it.

Oct 11, 2008 - If you are living in Turkey, i don't suggest you to buy ASUS products... The Technical Service is the worst one i have ever seen...

ExperimentalArmy Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - yes, you ether have to install it via USB cd drive. Via usb memory stick or SD card/ or a network installation.

jester070993 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - Everything works find except the wifi or ethernet. Can you please tell me the easiest way to fix this?

ExperimentalArmy Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - I honestly don't know, because I never had any problem with setting it up. Go on the Ubuntu forms and tell them your problem, they can help you better then I can.

jester070993 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - oh ok thanks

calrogman Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - The asus eee pc is small, has a very long battery life, and runs perfectly fine for what it was designed for (Being a portable web device), and is also very cheap. What exactly is wrong with the asus eee pc?
