a quick guide I made to the peavey bandit 112 transistor amp. Great little amp for the money, great tone for blues on the vintage settings. Any questions please feel free to ask. NOTE: Please disregard the "Clean Channel" stuff at the start and end of the guitar solos I cropped the video down and took out more chatting so all the stuff is on the "Lead" channel with very little pre amp gain and all the same settings as mentioned at the start of the video. Killer blues sound?

Oct 8, 2008 - haha you serious? :)The amps are great, I ended up selling mine recently but I might get another one - possibly the 30 watt valveking

Oct 8, 2008 - i just played one of these XD fukin awesome

NuclearGanon Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - How does this compare to a Marshall MG 100? I read reviews saying the marshall is shit, so this is probably better, but it's worth asking the question anyway. I play thrash metal by the way.

yoeasypunk Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Marshall MG series are not good. They have a very weak and thin sound. You're better off getting this amp a distortion pedal

NuclearGanon Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - Cheers! I'll probably get this then. From what I've heard it kicks ass!

chavezchavez2 Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - You won't need a distortion pedal with a bandit, what's the point? The drive is already a killer. But seriously MG's are good aswell, the problem is most people push that "contour" poti too high and it suppresses all the interesting dynamics but honestly I was myself suprised of how good they sound. It's all about good settings cause I know (like all amps) that the MG can sound like a big fat fart when badly set :)

Oct 8, 2008 - What do you think.Bandit or Classic 30?

heinzdziurowitz Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - I bought one in '95 when they first came out. 13 years with no problems and played lots of gigs with it....Just bought the newest one, now I got two!!!

RealityBend Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - I have a peavey bandit 112 but mine looks different, anyone care to explain?

fishinflorida Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - A friend of mine has been playing his Bandit since around '84. Still hasn't had a problem. Awesome amps.

marc85guitar Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - classic 30 all the way, "tube sound", it has a nice crunche to it, it will play anything "but" metal, but you can fix that with an overdrive pedal

picajoool Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - But this one seem to have also a very nice clean sound + 2 distorsion chanels!

marc85guitar Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - ohh i'm not saying it doesn't have nice clean or distortion, sound is very subjective and personal preference. the bandit will defenetly have better versatility compare to the classic. really depends if you can tell the difference with a tube amp or not. it took me about 5 years of playing to really tell the difference in a tube sound

marc85guitar Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - also check out traynor full tube amps, and the valvekings

Aznorakh Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - you must have the new version

CrucialSix Says:

Oct 8, 2008 - hey man, nice sound and nice playing. i'm impressed by the bandit's tone. I have a transfex myself, but I always keep my eyes and ears open for something new, in case the transfex breaks down... then I want to replace it by something smaller. reduce to the max, so to say.
