Oct 8, 2008 - I can't make my decision. BFR is very good instrument, but I don't like the painted necks...so I don't know. If it would be with unpainted neck I think this guitar will be my favourite guitar in the world.

Im mostly planning on using it for a cover band "covering" Dream Theater, Metallica, Iron Maiden, some Joe Satriani, Guns and Roses and Pink Floyd. Oct 8, 2008 - Ive also got a gt-8 and the effects and stuff are gr8 but some of the amp models, especially the high gain ones, i find dont quite have enough 'nice sounding' gain so it wouldnt b the best for the likes of metallica

Oct 8, 2008 - I've never used the Air Norton as a bridge pickup, but as a neck pickup it's great. Very smooth and warm sounding for great lead sounds. The D Sonic is huge sounding. It's hard to describe it, but it sounds very "open." It's great for heavy riffing and stuff like that. The Evo is pretty nice, good for rock and heavy stuff, but it can get kinda muddy with lots of gain. The Steve's Special is very nice, it handles gain well, but I feel that it's too focused, but some people like that.
