Oct 7, 2008 - Spinners always had a happy sound, truly talented artists

Bass35744 Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - R.I.P my good friend Pervis Jackson. You will always be one of the greatest and legendary bass singers of all time!

newsoul Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - Didn't know Pervis Jackson passed R.I.P. we are losing our legends and have not been able to replace em and those who are so-called American R&B and soul are anything but. I think we are going have to look internationally for real Black-based music from other countries and our older acts.

Oct 7, 2008 - you guys really need to get the difference, this is more like blues rnb its not necessarily rnb get it its blues and rnb now is more pop... its different styles, so dont compare the two... am a fan of both def

Oct 7, 2008 - I would like to thank everyone for the kind comments they have posted about my grandfather Pervis Jackson it has really helped me in this hard time. Thank u all once again

fluffyxdestroy16 Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - IN-THE-ZONE! Where else can you find something so dynamic? The bass held down by Pervis and that Philippi was an American original as a lead vocalist. He was singing directly to YOU and don't you deny it listeners. What a legacy this group holds. God bless all who ever sang in it.

fluffyxdestroy16 Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - Was he your grand dad? Condolences from Long Island darling. He was a statesman-like presence up there with the guys as well as a true professional. And he LOOKED pleasant and content. At an outdoor show in Massapequa in 2004, he gave out a "12:45" (with no music)as Mr Washington quizzed the audience. Everybody knew what was coming. His years of dedication reflected his love of singing and it's good that your grandma Claudreen acknowledged it. God bless your family and let faith guide you.

PAJ1245 Says:
