Sep 5, 2008 - Wow David Archuleta probabaly did the worst version of this song of all time. What was he thinking. He does not have the voice to sing a song like this.

cassie745 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i would so prefer to listen to david archuleta sing this..but this song is terrible regardless srry

tedpad Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - this song has nothing special to it other than the lyrics... i mean, it is so boring... however, so good song choice by that kid who gained votes by many patriotic people of america...Kristy you will always be remembered... God Bless The USA

BibiBalls Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - ummm david cook sounds the same on every song.

beecx Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - that "kid's" version blew dog and i am disheartened by the fact that the great neil is being ignored in this mindless debate about a reality show that passed its prime about 3 ya...

Juliaflo Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - You said it!

mark1v8 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Surely you have ALL lost the plot???This is a song by a great artist which instills hope for everyone? - not a garbage rendition by a no-hoper on garbage tv wannabe land. Get a life - listen to the song as its meant to be (written in the 1970's) as a song of potential. Bush & Blair & Brown are all tossers with no grip on reality - much like you people who critique this song as a wannabe popstar tune. GET REAL PEOPLE!!!

rockyboyjan1999 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - david archuleta royally sucked at this - and seemed to have no concept of the original song, obviously neither do you...neil did...he wrote it !

mfb1985 Says:

AlvinChapman Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - This was Micheal Dukakis theme song in 1988 at the Democratic Convention in Atlanta. He walked on to the floor with this playing. No one had seen anything like this. From that moment on, there were songs accompaning a campaign. ND said that at that moment he knew this song would be a Classic.Wow!!!

AlvinChapman Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Micheal Dukakis used this as his song to walk into the Democratic Convention in 1988 at Atlanta. No one had ever done that before, he made this his campaign song.I think he was the first to use a modern song as an introduction. Now, they all do it. Neil Diamond said he knew that this song would last forever after that moment and be remembered.Wow, I remembered that from 20 years ago!!

theresaturner58 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - This is a great song from a tremendous singer/songwriter! His songs are adored by so many different people in different walks of life throughout this world and by different age groups as well! Talk about diversity. I don't care if you're 12 or 92 years of age, Neil Diamond's songs hold a special meaning to us all in different ways. 67 years young and he still packs people into his concerts like no other! God bless this man and the United States of America!!!
