Oct 7, 2008 - Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's movie stars: George Burns, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Fay Wray from King Kong, Bing Crosby, Kay Francis and many more.

Oct 7, 2008 - This was during the period, in late 1950, that the live series had a "specialty act" inbetween the evening's plot. During rehearsals, George and Bob Fosse tried a challenge dance on stage; Gracie saw this and yelled, "Nattie, you come down here right now!!". She didn't want George "exerting" himself with a dancer half his age!

Oct 7, 2008 - No doubt I was born in the wrong decade! Sometimes I watch these clips and feel as if I was in the audience "learning" the steps. Awesome video.

Oct 7, 2008 - Mr. Burns is a hoot! George! That is... Not the one from the SImpsons :)

Oct 7, 2008 - Check out brilbarrett on YouTube! He has really great footage. (He's one of my tapteachers.)

DannyHiggs Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - I love how you can see the Fosse style coming through. The rounded shoulders, the limp wrists letting the hands dangle, the cocked head. All the stuff that he did naturally that came through in his choreography.

bang2b Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - Harrison Muller was my tap teacher in Rhinebeck New York in 1977 and 1978. Great guy and a wonderful dancer.

MuzzyVanH Says:

Oct 7, 2008 - yes,...and at the 'traveling exit' Fosse holds his hands behind him, further accentuating the posture, silhouette and step.Just Great stuff.
