Oct 7, 2008 - I have to agree, this is the best version. It sounds fresh, sensitive and captures the brooding spirit Evans was known for. He doesn't over-embellish the ending as he did in later versions. This became his unofficial theme song and he probably just played it too many times to maintain that sensitivity.Thanks for a great post.
