Jul 7, 2008 - check the stats. Compare the years West and Pete averaged the most points and pete attempted about 400 more shots than west did... that's almost 5 more attempts a game... makes a big difference. But no question they were both amazing.

Jerry West was easily one of the best ever, but if I was able to watch either one play, I would choose pistol pete, hands down.
