TeMo is a tele-operated mobile internet robot. While other internet robots mostly use WiFi (or a nearby PC with an internet connection), TeMo connects to the internet using Mobile packed data services (e.g. GPRS / EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA). The advantage is virtually unlimited mobility for the robot.www.embisys.com/temo

Jul 7, 2008 - Nice job! Not sure if the camera's puny processor could handle full motion video (possibly at a reduced quality) but that would really finish this off. There seems to be almost no delay between the button presses and the robot's actions. Is that how fast it responds or was the screen capture and video of the robot offset to adjust for the delay?

embisys Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Thanks. The robot responds in less than one second most of the times. I used the Connection Keep Alive property to make sure that the TCP socket connection is kept open. This reduces the latency a lot. Secondly the client and server were just a few hops away. In actual the delay is a little more than depicted in the video.
