Oct 10, 2008 - Clapton sounds like Hubert because Hubert was Clapton's mentor. Eric idolizes Mr. Sumlin. I met Mr. Sumlin 2 days ago. Highlight of a life time. I was honored to shake hands with the legend.

Oct 10, 2008 - I've had the great fortune of seeing Hubert a few times and have met him twice. He's obviusly a phenomonal guitarist but also a very kind and humble man. He signed a picture that I'd taken of him but before he autographed it he said, "that's just too pretty to sign", looked at it again, said, "I know what I'll do", and signed his name up the neck of the guitar on the photo. I've had the picture framed. I'll see him at the Doheny Blues Fest with Pinetop Perkin and Willie "Big Eyes" Smith.

Oct 10, 2008 - Clapton is too white to play like Hubert. I always hated Cream's version of this song. This one and the one by the Mississippi Shieks are my favorites. I love the Crossroad series cuz' Clapton always gets served by an old master. I love Clapton, I just think he's a boring, by-the-book bluesman. In rock, he has few equals.
