beeoowuulf Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - good video for beginnersno, he does'nt have to follow the ball with his eyes after the shot, because then he will have to open up- which is wronghe is missing the left arm has to go back when he hits in order to stop rotation: but he is probably missing this on purpose because it would be too much info for beginners herehmm, i have looked at the videos of FED backhand and it seems like he stretches the legs when finishing the backhand so why cant I ?
ddreamax Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - hit short to the backhand,he'll be forced to come in, then run down the ball and pass him. It keeps the points shorter.

Michaelanchio Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - I cant choose between one and dubble handed backhand. I've played my whole life dubble handed, but just like one handed more. My one handed backhand isnt that good. But that because I am going for it because I am switching the whole time between them. What shall I do> I have a ranking 5. My trainer says I have to do it. But something in me wants it but says not.

Oct 10, 2008 - I'm sorry this is awful
masterskunk Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - He's a good teacher indeed.Of course he exaggerate a bit the movements, as this IS the right way to teach. It looks ridicolous sometimes, but he's taching... he's not playing a game

Oct 10, 2008 - one handed or two handed? Advice?
Cenot4ph Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - He needs to extend his body when he hits the backhand shot to improve the power of the shot, He's just standing there with his knees bent.
dmugger Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Jesus, put some leg and back into it man!
dmugger Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - 2/2 With this videos Instructor, then i would say this is the best video, you can spend your time on, on court. You will probably be supriced how much control, and extra capasity you`ll get on court!! Good job Instructor!!The prove for the 45* foot-angle ..put the racket on you shoulder behinde your head self lying, and see it will allways point in the fly direction of the ball.
Frankie5StarHighway Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - This tennis video is one of the best! about backhand that i have seen on you tube for a VERY long time. This video Instruction is very important, and well done! I personal would like the first racket shoulder turn back, and the important instructions about the first move, with weight balance to the back foot and then forward body weight balance into the hit (I personal think the backfoot also is allowed to be a little to the side before moving into the hit(the footwork) included in thisV.Whit1/2

Oct 10, 2008 - Im a one handed and I think its better, but you should look for the one you feel comfortable with.
burster14 Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - How high should the ball be when you hit it? And should the racket head be facing down or straight ahead? Thanks.
bbking2002 Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - i think it's pretty good
derridadirred Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - the racquet face should always be a little open (slightly towards sky). a lot of people make mistake of letting the face close (towards ground) as they strike the ball. this is because they believe they need to get "on top" of the ball to hit topspin. but physics shows that the face should be slightly open in order to give the ball the proper lift to not only send the ball over the net, but also to hit a nice deep shot.
derridadirred Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - as far as how high the ball should be when it is truck, i find that ideally it should be between knee and waist, but sometimes you have to hit the ball wherever it is -- like when it jumps up suddenly if your opponent hits "heavy" with lots of topspin. then you might have to hit ball above your waist, and then you should closing the racquet face a little more (not completely) as you strike the ball. also, in that case, you would not simply hit upwards, but more across your body.
burster14 Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Ahh, I see. Thanks very much for the response.
payback267 Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - thats wrong u have to look at the ball after u hit it in order to have control
