Oct 10, 2008 - nope, Obama said he was cutting down the size of the troops. Sounds Clintonesque to me.

kamijk Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - From Obama campaign website Issues, Foreign Policy:"Expand the Military: We have learned from Iraq that our military needs more men and women in uniform to reduce the strain on our active force. Obama will increase the size of ground forces, adding 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines."Turns out the opposite of what you said is true. How about that?

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - porche75: America isn't profiting from the war, Bush's buddies are. Furthermore, it was the US that pushed for war when few were interested, and of course you must remember Bush's famous quote, "You're either with us or with the terrorists". Not much of a grey area there. Whatever I'm worried about would not push me to engage in a ridiculous costly war against a country uninvolved in 9/11 according to the Sept 11 Commission and even Bush himself.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - kamijk: Calling your opponent a Commie is a grand tradition of the Republicans. Nixon used it often and repeatedly demolished the opposition all the way to the top. And of course we all know the denouement on that one.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - porche75: Obama's tax cuts are bigger than McCain's, except that McCain is giving huge cuts to the moneyed elite, where Obama is asking them to cough up more cash. One would be a fool to vote for McCain on the basis of his tax proposals, unless of course you own Microsoft or GE.

kamijk Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - Okay so let me get this straight, Canada has allegedly long wait times (inconclusive) and the problem is that everyone has health care? That seems a bit heartless. But that is beside the point, universal health care does not equal communism.

kamijk Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - Yeah what I guess we have to fight this charge anytime it surfaces, or accuse Republicans of fascism. But making (comparatively small) exaggerations leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And it is not a mainstream sentiment. But the Democrats = Communist charge is fairly mainstream. Maybe Democrats just have to make Republicans take for granted that they are going to be called fascists. It's a problem Democrats have, over thinking arguments.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - kamijk: A Fascist charge against the Republicans would not have the same weight. Fascism is quite comfortable with a market economy. As well the US has supported many brutal Fascist leaders throughout its modern history. On the other hand there's nothing that makes the blood boil more than the word Communist, even if the word is thrown around unjustly and indiscriminately.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - kamijk: The US system is better than the Canadian one if you have money, and lots of it. The College of Physicians and Surgeons not only protects but hides even the most blatant malpractice activities of its doctors. The system of specialist referals is costly and totally unnecessary. There is no motivation to improve a patient's condition, but there is motivation to ram through as many patients as possible in a day to increase personal profit. The universality of the system is its best feature.

Timothysimamora Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - I'm a Hillary'suporter..I hate this moment

porche75 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - illegal immigrants in America get the best healthcare available. The rest of us get to pay for it.

porche75 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - sorry but Bush was right. Al Queida attacked us. I'd rather McCain handle this one than either Hillary or Obama. Obama wants to send the troops to Pakistan. And you're calling McCain a warmonger.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - porche75: McCain's 100 year reference was ill-conceived.Besides, my money is on al-Qaida. They're motivated, have no recruiting issues, have superior tactics, have significant financial resources, and truly hate their enemy. The US will eventually withdraw and Afghanistan will sink into a civil war between the drug lords we are now supplying (Norther Alliance) and the Taliban. The victory against the US will be very beneficial to the brutal radical Muslim leadership.

vuetube Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - Having this in a town called "Unity" was SO CHEEZY!Mondale/Ferraro II here they come!

badtown88 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - Do you try to be stupid, or do you just do it accidently?

kamijk Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - No they get emergency care only. The rest of us get it too. It is not the best health care available, not by a long shot. You could argue that because illegal immigrants don't pay taxes they aren't paying for it but many illegal immigrants do pay taxes.

mrbronze013 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - I want in on this bet. Al Queda is losing their support amongst the people. You think the Afghan government and more important the afghan civillians will allow this band of thugs to operate with impunity in it's terrority. You saw what happened to Al Queda in Iraq...they were rejected by people and are getting their ass whooped.and LOL at suicide bombings being a superior tactic...that is the tactic of someone who knows that he cannot win.I silently cheer everytime those morons blow themselves up.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - mrbronze013: Good points you brought up, but I still think it's more a matter that the West will tire of the conflict. You're right, the fanatical elements that terrorize the local population surely can't be popular. But remember, the US and the West are arming the drug lords in Afghanistan, those we pleasantly named the Northern Alliance. They are every bit as brutal as the Taliban, except they are drug traffickers as well. A brutal civil war will break out between all groups when we leave.

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - badtown88: Well I rememember Bush standing on some carrier bragging about how the war was won. Well that was 5 years ago, and now the US in Iraq, and the Allies in Afghanistan are embroiled in a war that's costing billions with no end in sight. Instead of trying to rebuild those societies, as would have happened in the Roman Empire, the West is just siphoning off profits through lucrative contracts. Some communities still don't have electicity, and these are completely under our control.

overmind25 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - Don't vote Republican or Democrat for President.

TekKnowledge1 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - i give it 5-10 if a republican steps into office...1 if mccain croaks and palin takes over..

TekKnowledge1 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - well waht you have to realize...and all learned people really know this...is that whether you like it or not...karl marx was absolutely correct...is this era of globalization, capitalism...is slowly but surely falling apart...now communism isn't the answer...but more of a welfare-based state like the European nations and Canada...if you look at it...we're borrowing from communist countries...namely canada...scary shit right?

TekKnowledge1 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - not canada..china...sorry 4 da slip up

indoctus41 Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - TekKnowledge1:The rich elite in China are investing heavily in the West, but not in the name of the Republic of China, but in the names of the government leaders and their family members. Gee, where have we seen that before?

TonyaTko Says:

Oct 10, 2008 - Nice Video!I did one too about this whole debacle. I will send it to you. Tell me what you think.-TonyaTko
