saintkamus14 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Ok, it's time for something i like to call, fact checking:The birth of humanity is NOT the middle east, it's Africa, that's where human kind was born.Yes, there was a point where the middle east was an extremley advanced civilization when compared to others, however theocracies have long since put that to a stop in most of the middle east, for more than 1,000 years it's been affected by this.By the way, is this a secular city? (how religious is it?)Looks amazing.

Jul 7, 2008 - I have no problem with usage of migrant workers there. But I don't support slavery!

hxsamirl Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - The amount of slave labour at this project isn't remarkable in comparison to amout used in clothing and fast-food industry. I do not defend slave labour in this project, I think it's obnoxious. But don't use this project as a scapegoat without having the other thoughts in mind. I hate insinuations! However I see a project like this one as architecturally interesting regardless of where on the globe it happens to be built.

Tupiii89 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Who wouldn't be interested in palm shaped islands and world's tallest buildings. I am just trying to remind people about the lack of rights those migrant workers suffer!

alosirmin Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - dont some people think life started in australia? i remember some movie where i THINK they said in aust.

Mthtmty Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I have read alot of comments about why Dubai doesn't need big buildings like the Burj Dubai. We all know that the oil is going to run out. Dubai is going to run out of it's oil sooner than alot of other plases. Dubai is almost entirly funded by it's oil. When Dubai runs out of oil it wont have any more money. They have to find new ways of making money. The tower is going to bring alot of money to Dubai and people (including me) are going to travel to Dubai to see the tower.
