A tribute to the glorious accomplishments of many decades of communist governments around the world. After so many attempts in history, it seems the ideology still has legions of fans and supporters. The notion behind this film was to quickly explain how and why communism works exactly as it does on the state and the people living there.YouTube and GoogleVideo are littered with sincere highly rated tributes to communist regimes around the world and throughout the 20th Century. Jul 7, 2008 - In Marxist terms, socialism is the transitional stage between capitalism and communism.

muhcarl Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - How does communism "encourage" thuggery and mismanagement?

brownlee1867 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - well ya, but in the modern context, Socialism should be thought of as a focus on working co-operatively rather than as individuals looking solely after their own interests.

muhcarl Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Under capitalism, the purpose of politics is to reach a economic objective. Lobbyists (corporations) give 10's of millions of dollars to politicians to help them win their elections. In turn, the politician helps the corporation reach their economic objectives, either thru legislation or by virtue of access to valuable political resourses.

muhcarl Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I don't think we are disagreeing, obviously cooperatives are important to ANY industrialized nation. But we should never forget what the purpose of the state is under socialism/communism, Which is of course to cease to exist

antiderivativeman Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I am Capitalist, but Capitalism is evil without some socialism to control it, and vice-versa. I think both far right and far left end up totalitarian.

tomterahedrob Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - its based on force not truth or reason.Talk to somebody from Cambodia,North korea etc.

tomterahedrob Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Your vid is spot on.Ever notice how the most pro Communist people are these spoiled brat self proclaimed "radicals" who are too narcissistic ie"radical"to even once listen to somebody from Cambodia or Vietnam about how dead wrong Communism is?

muhcarl Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Sounds like you're talking about the fallacies of individuals rather than Marxian theory. No where in any of Marx's, Engels or Lenin's writings does it even remotely suggest such a thing. Perhaps the people in Cambodia, North Korea etc. didn't get that message? And really that's not a good point since no one can really argue that America is NOT ruled by force and more effectively, the threat of force.

agentk1986 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Communism fails because it expects people to behave a certain way. Marx forgot that we humans are disgusting beasts. You can tell everyone to live with shortages, bur after awhile people just cannot take it anymore. Not to mention Communism creates a new class of elites who want total control of the public sphere.

tomterahedrob Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - people are literally dying to get out of places like Cambodia and into less coercive places like America.get real,Communists are universally intolerant and murderous.

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - The thing is that the systems put into practice in Viet Nam, Cambodia, Cuba, USSR etc. were not communism. One main problem of most critics of communism is that they fail to realize that communism can't just be stablished by the fact that a government declares itself communist.Claiming to be a woman doesn't make me one.

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Well, a respectable point of view. I'm a radical communist because I can't stand any form of capitalism even if I agree that moderated capitalisms are better.

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Once again, you speak of a system that has never been established. The simple fact that there are people around not behaving like "disgusting beasts" proves it is not natural to humans to behave like that. People develop in a certain way given their personal experiences, the way their surroundings work and their personal traits.

Apmhflick Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - So you're in support of a system that you admit is not the best? That really makes no sense.

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Probably I wrote a somewhat confusing post. What I meant is that moderate capitalisms are better than "freer" or less moderate capitalisms. Of course I think communism is the best possible system.

Apmhflick Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Okay, sorry. I misunderstood. I don't agree personally, though. I think pure capitalism is the best.

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I could have written it more clearly, I guess it was more of my fault. Matter of perspectives. In theory I respect your thoughts, in practice, we're enemies.

Nolimit75 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - No offense but that is a major problem I have with Marxists, you see people as "enemies". Marxism has extremely hostile undertones

Nolimit75 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I prefer "sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken", guess what movie that is from

Nolimit75 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - what you just described is corporatism not capitalism

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - When we have opposite goals and both try to search them... are we not enemies?

Nolimit75 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - absolutely not, the definition of enemy is "a person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another". An enemy is someone you hate. So no jsut because we have opposing goals does not mean I hate you

ZealotKommunizma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - "Antagonic activities against each other". Capitalism is antagonic to communism. the existance of one implies the destruction of the other. I may personally not hate you, in fact I may like you. I have capitalist and even one pseudo-fascist friend, but, we're political antagonists. To some extent we're enemies.
