Sep 7, 2008 - I am someone who has been in special ed in elementary school and high school. I was never told what supposed disorder I had was. I think their were many ways in which I just did not conform. Of course being a rebellious, intelligent, kid I would rebel against that. I like what you did in your classroom. It sounds to me like you removed that oppressive aspect and replaced it with freedom. With freedom they could excel.
