Sep 6, 2008 - You sure did take a lot of pictures! Very good documentation for anyone wanting to do a similar project. What's a "Dodgy Boat?" Did you name the boat after the Allen Holdsworth song?

mancini2468 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Yes, the boat was named for the song Dodgy Boat, written by Steve Hunt and performed with the Allan Holdsworth group. The boat was quite "dodgy" when I acquired it, as you can see!

Sep 6, 2008 - She'll do about 45...which is scooting pretty good for a 16 foot aluminum runabout!

Sep 6, 2008 - You did a great job ! I have my grandfathers 1964 Duratech 17' sportboat which has been in the family since new in 65. I got it in late 80's. Thinking of restoring it like new and putting a 90 OMC on it now ! What did u use for primer/paint ?...Ed.

Sep 6, 2008 - Stripped her down with a water/sand blast method. Used automotive primer and epoxy paint.
