Before David Ball was a country Music Superstar he played upright Bass Guitar in an Austin Band with Singer/Songwriter Guitarists Walter Hyatt and Champ Hood.This is from a live album recorded at Waterloo Icehouse on Congress Avenue. Jul 7, 2008 - I went to college with Walter in Spartanburg, SC. We used to sit down by the railroad tracks and Walter would play that Martin guitar and we'd sign our asses off. He was killed in the Value Jet crash in the Everglades. I'll never forget those good times at old Wofford College.
