Oct 10, 2008 - Actually it isn't a rendition since this was the original version by the original artist, so actually the seekers would have the rendition as opposed to Rick Springfield.
OzTvAgogo Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - I recall it was the drummer (Rick Brewer?)who wanted the band to go from pop to a more heavy style. But I don't know what Rick's view on this was considering what he did after he left Zoot.
hobodreamer Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Yes he was also in favor of the heavier sound, doing a metal version of Eleanor Rigby before leaving, his open mocking of the pink suits and the management might have gotten him dismissed from the group if he hadn't left. They should have listened to Rick as the group was attacked by a homophobic gang and Darryl Cotton was injured in the attack, this despite it was well known they were all heterosexual.

Oct 10, 2008 - Mission: Magic! is an animated cartoon starring pop singer and musician Rick Springfield. It was produced by Filmation, and was a spin off of the television cartoon show, 'The Brady Kids'. Although only 16 episodes were ever produced, it aired on the US television network ABC weekly on the Saturday morning lineup from from 1973 through 1975. It was also shown on Australian television.
OzTvAgogo Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Yes and I think there was a record of the same title released. And Mission Magic was made by the same people that did the Archie cartoon shows.
punchcar Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - Yes!Archie, Groovie Goulies, Sabrina the teenage witch, Fat Albert,My favorite martians (cartoon) ,and more. Their cartoons were pricey to make.

Oct 10, 2008 - Izzy Foreal ( then Peter Knox ) recorded this video with Rick Springfield. Dave the Bloke Ovenden is on Drums. They were in there to do their own recording with perhaps Johnny and the Ringworms or the THIRD UNION BAND. They did that. On ABC. GTK - Getting to Know.
