Jul 26, 2008 - Yes, when I had seen this movie I lied awake for half of the night thinking about it. The book had done the same earlier. I love this song, the lyrics seem to speak Chris' mind so well. Eddie Vedder has done it great.

Jul 26, 2008 - the thing is, this movie is based on a book about a real person's life. that person (mccandless) died. it's sad, and makes it seem like maybe his journey was pointless, but it's true. and sometimes the truth is more important than a hollywood ending. Tim O'Brien (author of The Things We Carried) said that something doesn't have to happen to be true; but in this case, what really happened was the truest part of the story. and,as thoreau said (paraphrased), "... above all else, give me truth"
