Jul 7, 2008 - If you want to upgrade your tippy to resemble an mp5 at the expense of adding more weight for $200, be my guest lol. Weight does make a difference when you run around the field instead of sitting there and exchanging paint. To me, all those cosmetic upgrades, tactical vests, scopes, etc. decrease your mobility and hinder your game. That's why I find it pretty funny when I see a bunch of grown men playing army and I end up behind them because of my lighter gear...and Im not even in camo lol.

Jul 7, 2008 - Its a great video, profesionaly made, but i think that airsoft is better for mil-sim play because the equipment can be real and the guns are 100% replicas of real rifles and pistols. When i went on paintball i also noticed that paintball doesnt have as much range and accuracy like airsoft.

Jul 7, 2008 - u were using cheap paint and probaly a short barrel cause i have a 20 in tactical barrel and when i use good paint it has helluvan accuaracy and consistency in shooting
Polenar Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Probably you are wright, we didnt compare our rifles to the best paintball marker but our rifles are also not the best you can get in airsoft. Just for info, our team sniper has a rifle with 600fps and he can hit a human on 80 meters (or maybe more if there is no wind) - the trajectory of the bb is almost flat because of the hop-up, but i cant imagine a shot that far with an paintball marker without hop-up.

Jul 7, 2008 - woah, thats a preety far for a non real gun. Yeah, probably airsoft has more range, but I prefer paintball.

Jul 7, 2008 - These blckcell vids are kick ass i dont care what you say
Patejl007 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Sorry to say, but if true, then your sniper is obviously an idiot or noob and so is everyone risking healt playing against him. Max allowed fps in airsoft is 500fps while players usually agree on max 400-450 (best guns use around 390). Being so accurate with airsoft gun on 80ms also mean he probably uses heavy BB (more than 20grams). In paintball it is 300fps, using heaier balls, so in theory paintball should be more powerful thus accurate - oc depnds 90% on marker/gun setup and ammo.
Polenar Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - First thing - we play mil-sim and airsoft rifles are just our tool. Second thing - our sniper is not an idiot or a noob. We have strict rules for our weapons so that we can simulate real conditions as much as its possible.
Polenar Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - All pistols and SMG weapons that in real life use 9mm (or any other pistol round) are limited to stock muzzle velocity (maximum 290 fps). Assault rifles are limited to maximum of 350 fps, support weapons (M60, M249, M240,...) are limited to 450 fps and sniper rifles (bolt action or semi-auto of calibre .308 or more) have a limit of 600fps.Also all the weapons have to use standard mags (low-cap or real cap that hold 30-50 rounds maxc) except support weapons which can use drum mags.
Polenar Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Also support weapons and sniper rifles have a minimum distance of engagement (because of the high muzzle velocity). For support weapons is minumum 20 meters and for sniper rifles is 30 meters.Members of my team can become snipers if they have at least 2 years of experience and they still have to do a test for safty reasons.
Polenar Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Enforcing these rules we eliminated noob players with MP5, a hi-cap drum magazine and spray and pray tactics. Also snipers and support weapons can do their job similar to real weapons. That way we created quality mil-sim scenario games.I cant imagine doing the same with paintball, maybe only with RAP4 markers...

Jul 7, 2008 - I love this vid I beg of you all to look at my paintball dedicated channel if youre into the sport
Patejl007 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Well m8, if you play like this in a closed group, it is your rules so pls forget my objections on your sniper. However, if someone is (hope not and wish u guys luck) hurt, it might be considered as a crime (well, i Europe, dunno if in US, I guess u r an American?). As for doin the same in paintball (if even technically possible) I can imagine only 1 game :-))). I saw f.e. plastic loaders shot through with well adjusted marker, just because of short distance and harder paintball...
