I envy the folks who saw this on tv...It makes me sick to think of all i missed out on, and even more sick to see what contemporary society views as music and talent. :(Jazz will outlast them all though.

Oct 6, 2008 - Ben Webster must have been the guy that the LITTLE RICHARD sax guys were emulating. The LR sax soloist had identical tone (but probably not the chops). Sax in "Keep a Knockin" is very revealing.

Oct 6, 2008 - Dinah presented these musicians in a very respectful manner, but it's interesting that during that time period, it seemed there was nearly always a very 'serious' pipe-smoking host giving elaborate explanations as to why jazz was worthy of your viewing time--for three minutes.
