Jul 26, 2008 - One of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard - near the end he looks like he can't contain the bliss he's experiencing playing it - thanks for posting.

Jul 26, 2008 - I believe this is from an lp with brian eno, don't remember now wich one

UncleMeat1969 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I think the loop is 'red two scorer' from Fripp's 'god save the queen' album - with a guitar solo added - can anyone confirm?

Jul 26, 2008 - Good musician with a mouthfull of smart ass. But if it pleases him (and his sister), ok. I'd rather say: Bob, do what Zappa did, i.e. shut up and play guitar. And dont be such a queen of mystery.

Jul 26, 2008 - He is so great!!! i love his music very much.

Jul 26, 2008 - Ever since I first heard Discipline, I've been a devotee of Robert. He might be a bit of a prat, but then again, so is everyone else. Some people just hate seeing talented people acting any other way than terribly humble. Well, Robert is extraordinarily talented and original. And it's art he's making up there. Not a bunch of wanking shredders who know feck about music. Not commercial claptrap. I sit in rapt joy every time this man picks up a guitar. Thanks for this.

nojrevned Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - i saw fripp do a demonstration of"Frippertronics" at U of P back in the very early '80's. Before the show, he was hanging around the vestibule, greeting people. not at all the "rock star" you would imagine!

JT250 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - haha! Shut up and play your guitar! I had the exact same thoughts about Fripp (also from the Zappa album title). Indeed, if one hears Fripp talk about the process of making and playing music, I cannot help but think of it as almost new age stuff. Fripp, you're so great because you practice so much! Shut up and do your thing! Fripp is influenced by Gurdjieff. Search google for ROBERT FRIPP - FROM CRIMSON KING TO CRAFTY MASTER. I really like his music, but I don't like him talking about it.

thehunjo Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I saw this "tour" in '79 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery Theatre, which seats about 300 people, and it was in Quadropronic sound. It just swirled around you. Memorable?? Life altering is more like it.

ajhoncantara Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - whoop...I meant Quadrophonic

TheMiracleTheSleeper Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Speaks like the G-Man. Amazing guitar.

demonedge666 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Mr. Fripp has nearly single handedly changed the way I view the making of music. I can't put into the words the way he's influenced this young musician. For that I am greatly in debt.

titimangos Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I also saw that tour! It was simply stunning! and yeah, so quapdrohpnic!

titimangos Says:

Gwydion2000 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Specially vai.

Defector5 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I've been playing guitar for over 25 years, and until just recently, I have not understood just how this genius guitar-wizard has influenced my solos. This is a god among men in the guitar world, and I too am truly grateful to have stood 20 feet away from him in utter awe when King Crimson played here in my hometown a few years ago.

SenorScoop Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - No.
