Pictures and Lyrics playing to "The Night Chicago Died" by Paper Lace! After many negative comments on this vid I believe an explanation is in order. I compiled this video for a presentation in speech class entitled "Corruption and violence Chicago".This video was made to portray various gangs through time. Displaying a few gangs such as Capones Mob, Chicago Outfit, CVL, LK and other small crews. There have been multiple comments saying there is no east side, and others sarcastically remarking that the only east side of chicago is lake michigan. What they do not realize is the East side is a community area of chicago. For more information of "East Side" follow this link.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Side%2C_Chicago Bugsy Siegel has been mentioned several times, a few said he shouldn't be in this video. Here is a reply I made to one of these some time back."its ok...but alot of people don't know that Las Vegas was created by Chicago gangsters. Look at these excerpts from Wikipedia.'Siegel came to Las Vegas in 1941, backed by the Chicago Outfit to establish the Trans America race wire service.''The Outfit controlled casinos in Las Vegas and "skimmed" millions of dollars over the course of several decades. For many decades it's been alleged, The Outfit has claimed all the real estate west of the Mississippi River as its territory.'"to ghettofie this page clickhttp://sites.gizoogle.com/index2.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DkwwaGXcZ6Wo

Oct 11, 2008 - people need to grow up and see there is no point to rasicm. im actually glad my ancestors brought the Africans to America. because a lot of my friends and relatives are black. when people are stupid enough to actually dislike a person because of the color of there skin, you act extremely childish. sure some people act a certain way. big f*cking deal. oops sorry, oh yeah i love this song. :)

Oct 11, 2008 - I first heard this song when I was doing field duty in the US Army in Wildflecken. Was anyone else there? It was 1975 and a local band played it. I fell in love with the song instantly, and have enjoyed listening to it over the years. This song kicks ass and so does Paper Lace!

Oct 11, 2008 - These kind of videos are great, as long as they stick with the original song and its intent. This one was good except for the references to the gang retards with their fingers sticking out in all directions!

Oct 11, 2008 - Actually I got a B. It turns out all video clips had a maximum time limit of 30 seconds. so for every 30 seconds over I got 5 points knocked off. But my teacher didn't count the first minute and half over as he felt it was a good video.

gnerd Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - Chicago at the time of Capone was actually livable. It's America's toilet now.

gnerd Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - Not really. It's actually nice now. It's one of America's Green Cities. Since 1991 they began renovating the City. They tore down the Legendary Maxwell Street. They've also taken down the Projects. Some of the Cabrini Green Projects are torn down, along with the Robert Taylor Homes. The inner city is filled with Condos and such. They're ruining the city and making it so only wealthy people can afford to live there. When you drive through you'll notice there are alot of gaps in the rowhouses.

Oct 11, 2008 - Have you visited recently?? Probably not!!! Try Millennium Park and other sites. It's a LOT cleaner than when I lived there for 18 years in the 60's & 70's. My Mom (who's 86 and still golfs 3X a week) lives in the 'burbs as does my wife's brother and his family.
