Meaning that you need both Sharia n' Tariqa in order to arrive to the True Essence of God. So, it is clear Tasawwuf is nothing new. As a matter of fact, what do u think our prophet did in the cave of Hira? Wasn't it to meditate?

You should remember the prophet (pbuh) on a daily basis and none of the prophets followers at his time celebrated the prophets(pbuh) birthday and it was only 400 years after the death of the prophet(pbuh) in Egypt that so called Muslims introduced this act. This is not part of the the sunat of the prophet and is a addition to Islam. Islam is a pure religion which Allah has perfected there is nothing missing from it
