Oct 11, 2008 - What greater representation of America's ideals than a mouse who can do no wrong? That's disney for you. In saying this, what better way to slander that mouse and in doing so, casting America as the fool? That's jingoism for you.

Oct 11, 2008 - The US had blockaded Japan which was an act of war, so any country would have attacked. The Japanese military did quite a few wrong and evil things, but attacking Pearl Harbor was certainly not one of them.Ah, victors' history...

jimithingjames Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - And (of course) the U.S. had no cause to set up a blockade. They just "did it on a whim". No, I know, they wanted to provoke Japan and spur on a military conflict that claimed millions of lives. The fact is, both countries are guilty of having done some fucked-up and terrible things. Japan and the U.S.A. both.At the end of it all, however. America won the war. The United States kicked Japan's ass. Accept it, and move on.

spartiecat Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - The US imposed the embargo (not a blockade) to demonstrate its opposition to Japan's invasion of Manchuria. The US still held a formidable military presence in the Pacific, and therefore wasnt enough to make it an "actionable issue" (ie: War) until the Dutch and Brits agreed to go along with the embargo and stopped supplying the Japanese war machine with oil.
