Jul 26, 2008 - Oh, yeah, fc007? Why don't you prove that you're a skeptic? Huh? Huh? I have my doubts.
fc007 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Ok, I can play this game too; prove to me that I am not skeptic then.
ThinkerHA Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - James Randi's on the left and Daniel Dennett is on the right. Both have white hair and beards.
TomMSTie Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Julia Sweeney looked nervous.
thauruin Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - lol that's really funny. Both are awesome.
tattypatty Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Holy fuck did this moderator ever bogart everyone's time. Shut the fuck up asshole!
soulmman Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - This is a joke show, people who think that they are smart are suddenly experts on those subjects? Bring me to that table and let me make them all believe in God!
estefez Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - "Suddenly experts?" These are people who have studied, researched, and learned way more than you. Especially since most believers of God study only 1 source: a badly translated collection of mythologies from one of hundreds of religions.
soulmman Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Studied and learned way more than me? Where's that proof? I've studied advanced Super String theory, Quantum Mechanics, Theory of relativity, Theology and advanced religious jurisprudence. I know from what these people are saying that they're just speaking off the top of their minds, but if you want to argue how science completely and truthfully proves that there is only one all-powerful creator then I'm open for that.
estefez Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - To say you're ready to scientifically prove an all-powerful creator shows that you do not understand what science is. In the universal sense, science is a means for providing natural explanations. You're making to grievous mistakes: 1. You are approaching evidence with a CONCLUSION already in mind, and 2: you don't realize that NOTHING said by science is proven and EVERYTHING is subject to change.
soulmman Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - All proof's start out with a hypothesis and ends up in evidence, you say I'm making grievous mistakes but provide no basis for that argument whatsoever, if you want to continue an argument on Messages and not this board to cause commotion, you're welcome.
estefez Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Sorry, but you're obviously not rational enough to engage in a scientific argument. "people who think that they are smart are suddenly experts on those subjects?" is proof enough for me that you will have a warped understanding of the issue.
soulmman Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - You wouldn't believe how far people can go without having their own mind. A few people who love themselves enough to call themselves amazing and sceptical don't make a difference. Neither do a few numbers of people increasing stupidity. Many of them might know a lot about diverse subjects, but in the area of theological science they're simply rookies.
estefez Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Oh I believe it. The majority of Christians, when confronted with an argument against the Bible, or even a shred of doubt... think "THE DEVIL" and fight it without hesitation. They will never change their mind because "faith" trumps fact.
soulmman Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Too bad I'm not christian. But if that's what you really mean then I challenge you to try to disprove of my logic in a debate or a discussion, honestly if you prove me wrong, I'll stop believing in God.
estefez Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Ok, bring it on. I'm curious what your proof is, what kind of diety it supports, what it brings to the table that refutes all the evidence against god. message me.
Muggs8787 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I just watched for 5 minutes, then decided to skip forward to 8:17 and let it play, and the moderator, who has spoken ALL THIS F*CKING TIME, says "Now, having said that..." WTF?!? Having said EVERYTHING, you mean! Thanks for wasting my time, ThinkerHA. I just spent 6 minutes watching 8 fascinating people silently look on as the moderator gushes and rambles endlessly. 1 star!
2corinthians710 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - the answer to this question can be yes and no. yes, if by skeptic u mean thinker or scientist(who believes in creationism). no, cuz God is offended when u doubt him. Without faith, it's impossible to please God.
conman2317 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - the rain god said that if you don't offer a human sacrifice it will never rain. If you don't believe in this god, I guess it will never rain, is it still raining?
conman2317 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - never meant to post my previous messages 4 times, just once, I apologize for that. A skeptic cannot believe in a god for if he does he's not being skeptical.
ISpeakEnglish429 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Well, if he can prove that God is real, then he is being a skeptic about his beliefs and he has decided to prove them, beyond any doubt, that it is true. I believe that Paul said to prove your faith. That is, prove it true. You don't have to not believe in something to be a sort of skeptic on it. It is better to prove every aspect of God and the Bible to remove all doubt about it and be secure in your faith because you KNOW it is true. I'm pleased to say my God stands up to the test :)
jkfrancis Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - conman, that is a tautology.
