To enjoy the most flight times from your 2 channel infrared helicopter take good care of your battery, always let it cool for about five minutes and always recharge you battery when it's dune cooling off. Remember if that batteries voltage drops, so does your helicopter. Also check your transmitter batteries every week. Every 2 channel helicopter needs to be trimmed at the beginning of each flight and each one requires different trim. My a chopper (the first one in the video only requires about 4 or5 clicks on the trim my b chopper ( the second one I fly requires about 15 or 20) Use your torque to your advantage, if you drop your thrust quickly during a right turn the torque helps the heli turn quicker, just be prepared to raise your thrust back up and correct for any over spin.

Jul 7, 2008 - I'm afraid to take off with fairy, because when I'm starting to do that, it just starts to spin. I'm afraid to breake it. What do I have to push on the controller to stop this?

Jul 7, 2008 - by the way. where can i get a free copy of the apache body that i could print out? and of course, give it a try.. tnx
akonamanliwat Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - the video just said to give the trim few taps..
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Your controller is fine.
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - It will never be perfect, but it may need anywear from 10 to 20 clicks before it is trimmed, I re trim mine during flight every few minutes because as the battery runs down the trim changes.
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - I can send them to your email account if the ones posted at rcuniverse aren't high enough quality.

jbquintet Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - hey nice flying! My heli turns different directions at direrent thrust levels? and keeps turing in random directions?
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Your helicopter might be defective.Exchange it for a new helicopter if you can.
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - don't worry it's normal. Mine are the same way.
crazyyugo88 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - ay how do you know when to stop the charge and mine came with 3 chrome stickers should i put them on the front of the heli so it can balance out and go str8
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - The green light on the controller should turn off when the helicopter is dun charging. The chrome stickers should really help give it more forward flight speed and be a little more stable.
12dash131 Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - does that mean that i have to recharge the helicopter even though i am not going to play it until the next day???

Jul 7, 2008 - hehe i got a black havoc heli stinger copter today :D its so awsome! y does it turn right so good and so hard to turn left?
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Don't worry, it's normal. The tail motor just isn't powerful enough to fight all the torque of the helicopter, when you turn left it uses the torque to help it turn but when it turns right you are fighting torque, and their is to much for the tail to completely overcome.
speedstakerguy Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - dang my advice is to NOT get the havoc heli stinger.. the legs on the stinger easily breaks off after about 3-5 rough landings on the legs.

Jul 7, 2008 - I'm looking for some advice on the Pico Z. Believe it or not I just bought 25 of these things for resale. As a common practice I normally open up one item of the things I sell for a demo. The problem I'm having is I've already opened 3 of these damn things and none want to work, so I'm assuming operator error. First I put brand new batteries into the remote. I charged the thing until the "charge" light goes out. I put the remote to the channel on the copter and turn them on, then nothing...
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - if they are charged and you are on the right channel then they should fly, their should be a flashing light that comes on when you turn on the heli, you may have received damaged merchandise, the industry return rate is around 10 or 15 percent.
Shoxpyre Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - What -exact- helicopter are you flying in this vid? I'm asking because i saw one that looked almost exactly like this at a Marathon gas station today. I thought it wouldn't be as good as a Picco Z or airhogs havoc heli so i didn't think much of it. If this is the same one i might go ahead and buy it, it looks like it works the just as well
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - this one is called the ecoman microgear helicopter. I purchased it from frys electronics for 24.99. It is an older version, the newer one has a 3 bladed tail, their are probably 20 or more other helicopters from different companies that look just like this one. Most of them fly the same, just make sure you can exchange it if it doesn't work.
ganstergrizel Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - this helped alot thanks.
forthfriend Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - ??Four! On my picooz i have to press right rudder trim about 40 times before steady forward flight! Is there any thing that i can do about this, or is it normal?
taoistflyer Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - You may be able to twist the tail and add some nose weight to decrease the amount of trim needed.
aGentleUser Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - hi! same to me, but as i said increasing throttle lets him spin clockwise, descreasing means spinning counterclockwise. But anyway, great fun. I got the vbirus ;-)I am thinking of buying now the Jamara HG'le Military IR or sth. similar, same size but controlling 3 axis!!!
