Orange County officials have put up warning signs by some area lakes after three boys died this summer from amoebic encephalitis. But not all lakes have warnings and not everyone is taking precautions, WESH 2 News reported.John Biggs said he admits the amoeba threat is on his mind, but not enough to keep him out of the water. The water skier wiped out over and over again in a lake Saturday. "I've read the warnings, I checked out the symptoms, so if I start getting those symptoms I'll start worrying about it," Biggs said.Biggs is the exception, according to police. Authorities have been up and down the chain of lakes in Winter Park and he was the only one in the water skiing Saturday afternoon.
