Suggestibility testing is explained by Steve G. Jones, clinical hypnotherapist. The traditional lemon test is used to demonstrate the power of words and to give you a hypnotic hypnosis pre-qualifying test which determines suggestibility. This test was done in a informal setting while having fun. This demonstrates that you can use this test in numerous informal settings.

Jul 7, 2008 - that's part of the test actually. People who think 'ow okey, I thought they were oval, but now I will imagine them as being round' are even better candidates for deep hypnosis. They simply assume you're right or have no problems with accepting the suggestion made. It's another one of those hints.

Jul 7, 2008 - I wonder how much this test is affected by someone not actually desiring to eat a lemon.

Jul 7, 2008 - Wow! A friend of mine was in the next room. When I turned the volume up to get a better listen, they heard the word lemon. Upon hearing it, they said they started drooling. They immediately went to get a lemon pie from the store.I think I found a candidate!
