Oct 7, 2008 - WOW... These are hauntingly deep lyrics! Question: Who wrote this song?
Madrocker1954 Says:
Oct 7, 2008 - The man singing, Micky Dolenz! A version of this song wasn't released until '95 although a slightly tamer version was released as a single in '69. The head of the Monkees's record company, Lester Sill, wouldn't allow this version to be released, forcing Micky to rewrite his lyrics and record another vocal for his song. The Monkees were a little deeper than their critics gave them credit for.

Oct 7, 2008 - i love the sound of this song, but its a tad bit morbid!! its so addicting...just like the vocals and stuff. this song is like always stuck in my head. micky always wrote the awesomest songs for the monkees, like randy scouse git and shorty blackwell. love the pics!
