Oct 7, 2008 - There is no magnetic wing, and a magnetic wing would add to much extra weight. If it were to be an electromagnet, it would consume a lot of power. Think about it, how easy it is to pull a magnet from something, especially with the G Forces pulling on the missile about 9 times its own weight. The magnet wouldn't handle it and the missile would just fall out of the magnetic field. The orginal design of a hard point is good enough.

Oct 7, 2008 - Hahaha. Just read in this week's The Economist (Sept 18th Issue) that the Russian only have ONE 23 year old aircraft carrier. When they invade Georgia, they couldn't even get there radios to work properly. They had to use Cellphones to coordinate the battle and lost a bunch of jets including a TU22 strategic bomber. Oh yeah. No survailance drones nor night vision equipment. And now Hugo CHavez is all Macho cause the Russians were able to get 4 ships across the ocean.
