Jul 7, 2008 - The reason the movie was dubbed again is because Disney couldn't get the rights to the FOX dub, which was done under a different license. So it was inevitable they would have to redub it. I also disagree that Disney has compromised this movie in any way. Miyazaki Oked the first dub, yes, but he liked this version too. He doesn't think it's blasphemous. He also says that viewers should be allowed to watch his movies dubbed. And the Disney actors are not talentless. Where's the ruin in that?

Jul 7, 2008 - The Disney dub is only second-rate if you have trouble getting used to it, but I feel that the backlash against this fine new dub is unfair and unjust. I understand the nostalgia, but that in no way justifies slamdunking this new version. It is what it is, not better or worse, just different. That's all.
