Oct 13, 2008 - This song is sung near a big bonfire and on a beach(Okinawan beach). And trust me you don't light a bonfire in the EVENING but at NIGHT. So no it's not evening but night. I don't care if you're government approved or not a Japanese from Okinawa(well not from there but with grandparents there) translated it as night and if SHE SAID NIGHT ,then for me it's night ,you may believe whatever you choose to believe !

Oct 13, 2008 - It's a matter of interpretation. What does NIGHT imply? Think of film "South Pacific", the song sung in it; enchanting evening although it was night time. It depends on your emotion; what the word means to you, how you feel. I certainly don't bloody care what the Okinawan you mentioned said. She/he was not God; everyone has right to interpret the song however she/he likes it. After all songs changes their meaning for example; Spring of 19. Everybody relates differently to any given song.
