AmbassadorMolari Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Nejsem si vedom ze bychom parazitovali na slovenskem narode. Zatim to bylo vzdycky obracene, slovaku rozumu mdleho.

AmbassadorMolari Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Byli tvoji rodice sourozenci?

kubko87 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This is a terrible documentary. Life in Slovakia is nothing like that. Its not representative at all!

Ford604 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This is Joke!!!! or what!! :) he chose really good place! mayby we have some areas like that but this is not true about us, he should chose gipsi villages directly .... this is like if i will make movie about LA .. and hollywood there is "so" "nice" like they showing in tv a but is true how wonderfull is there.. but reall live there so diferent... "i live in LA"... he should pick better place.. now everybody will think how poor we are and americans double more

Jul 7, 2008 - mazdar AmbassadorMolari. dlho sme sa "nevideli".vidim ze sa nic nezmenilo. stale si velmi produktivny pozeram. kedy ta to prestane bavit.

Jul 7, 2008 - In 6 minutes you cannot really show life in Slovakia as such. There are cities, towns, countryside etc and they all have different stereotypes and habits. But documentary is supposed to be about something interesting you can find in that particular country and he did this well. Who cares about people walking down the street and going to bank or mall or whatever. Honestly, I liked it a lot :) It is not a fake or anything in that way.

jancsi7 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - this is Slovakia!?!

milanSK1980 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I don't think this was so bad. They just showed some Slovak traditions from a still traditional part of our country. But maybe these traditions will be dead in 20 years, unfortunatelly. Everybody understands that this is not a general picture. And Michael Palin is my favourite from Monty Python.

kkt3313 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - sorry but this is shit. I really liked your show but after I have seen this I changed my mind. Slovakia is nothing like this. You should have gone to Bratislava, the capital. Why the hell have you just shown the viewrs hot we kill a bloody pig and drink vodka??? There is much more to explore in Slovakia not just pigs and drunk vilagers. For god's sake!!!!!

triplets000 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Its pretty pathetic to show a bunch of drunk, toothless villagers killing a pig as a representation of Slovakia. The show makes it sound like the European Union will finally help poor slovakia. Wake up Slovaks! We need to do our own documentaries to promote Slovakia from ALL aspects. We have a beautiful country with amazing things to offer. Its time we show how proud and great we really are and stop allowing foreigners to portray us in a negative aspect.

triplets000 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Again, another pathetic representation of Slovakia and its people...drunk, toothless villagers! Why can't anyone show the good and beautiful side of this great country?

kkt3313 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - no!!! this is not a real slovakia. this is the shittiest show about slovakia i have ever seen!

MatoRohacek Says:

zoneXII Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - triplets000: because it hasn't any?

gocnogan Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This is the first time I see this part about Slovakia, although, I watched this trying the see this part, but cpuldn`t.I heared from others what exactly was shown on the film and felt a bit ofended.BUT THEN.I realized that this is a true pic of Slovakia- drinking spirits-and slaughting the pork.THAT'S US.. take it. I do drink and I do Kill the pig.. and it's a beautyful tradition. I met so many people from all over the world being admirefull and supportive in doing this..Cheers..

Vikary Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - flat land of Poland haha Behind you is Poland

Vikary Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - haha Flatland of PolandBehind him is Poland and it doesn't look flat:)

kosice1234 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This would only be seen as backward because many English people are so disconnected from the countryside they have forgotten that pork comes from killing pigs, not from a pork factory. The village's interesting. Probably everyone who hit 18 after about 1960 left to work in VSZ or somewhere. These villages are dying now and will just be used as Skanzens (open air museums) for city schoolkids in a few years. Not suprised some Slovak kids posting here don't even believe this was filmed here.

Goodbyeluka Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Michael Palin didn't visit Belarus in his travel documentary about eastern Europe. It is probably due the country's strict censorship. See the forbidden Belarusian but critic awarded documentary 'Kalinovski Square' and 'A Lesson of Belarusian' on Youtube about the forgotten country. They depict the country and the "dictator" Lukashenko. Just click on my profile to aces them!

huginkoprim Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This is not a real Slovakia, ther´s just a part of it but Slovakia has MUCH more to see, than just drunken villagers. Before making a decisoin of this country watch another video, because this video is not showing truth face of MY country!

getovsvk Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - we do slaughter pigs and torture tourists, we just cant help it :)

laszlo182 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - no fuj to co je?

DraganBulic1 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - This is what happens when a country gets some screen time - stereotypes are formed and various inaccuracies perpetuated. It's rarely malicious. However, things could be worse. It could be a gipsy village under attack from skinheads and Hlinka Guard maniacs all drunk on Corgon and slivovice.
