PLEASE call you congressman and demand hearings be held after seeing this video. Video describing serious safety and security problems with the Deepwater Program - specifically the 123 class of patrol boats. This video is factual . I created the video and posted it hoping someone with the right connections sees it and can assist me in fixing the problems. While the DHS IG is currently investigating the issues the US Coast Guard has been stonewalling and not cooperating fully. As such the investigation cannot conclude.

Jul 7, 2008 - don't you think the coast guard wants to cover their own ass. why would they allow ineffective things to come into reality in the fleet and additionally, bring about the cause for casualty amongst their own? none of them went into the fleet, they were all scrapped, AND LM completely ripped the CG off. The CG contracted LM to get this done, and LM did not, so it lies on them, not the CG. If the CG had those capabilities, they wouldn't have contracted LM to do it.

Jul 7, 2008 - If an interested party can position a detector in close proximity long enough to obtain a valid sample transmission, then they ought to be able to turn that sample over to their own NSA-equivalent.

Jul 7, 2008 - God bless you sir for putting your country and fellow citizens above your financial well being. Your country and fellow taxpayers owe you a debt that can not be repaid with dollars alone. I prey that you and your family find a company deserving of your talents and character. Thank you!

Jul 7, 2008 - Im experiencing whistleblowr issues w/ my now formr employer - a defense contractor - who laid me off for raising issues The lack of ethics is mindboggling. My company also has raging discrimination issues. It was a nightmare to try & work from w/in to address & I lost my cherished career in the process. A few yrs ago my co. (an OEM of military & comm helicopters) hired a slew of talentless greedy arrogant former LM execs. AWFUL PEOPLE. U inspired me to stay the course

MustacheVerra Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Good luck to all. We're going to need it. :(

Jul 7, 2008 - Coasttiecowboy, I am learning about this horrible example of political failure in my Masters program right now and your comments are out of line. Regardless of whether the tests were faked or not is not the main issue here. It is an issue of corporate blunder and governmental mismanagement of funds and power. This employee put himself on the line to educate the public and you told him to try to kill himself of all things. Way to go you idiot.

Jul 7, 2008 - If you think this is bad my friend you should check out: Dr. Greer of the "Disclosure Project". Then Gulf of Tonkin, The list is endless so your problem is a drop in the proverbial bucket. God Bless your efforts but you are running into the CFR, NWO and the NAU. Vote Ron Paul in 2008!

pstroma Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Mr. De Kort I sypathize with you being the object of LM's 800 pound guerilla tactics. LM's motto of "We never forget who we're working for" makes you assume it is the DoD. I believed that to be true but a few bad apples can make the thought behind that motto hollow. I hope the people at LM can live with the loss of life caused by their greed.

Jul 7, 2008 - You sound angry, like you have been layed off. You and your company failed to provied what the USCG wanted and needed. So in your failure you decide to try and turn it around on the Coast Guard? Get a life and grow up.

rcharlesworth Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - At the time this video was made, this guy was not layed off. As a Coastie, you should consider this guy a hero. He has likely derailed his career with Lockheed-Martin because he believes in the USCG mission and cares about the saftey of Coasties at sea.

scottykniving Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - It sound like lockheed martins got some issues! As a former coastie, we are used to cutters not having the best tech available, unlike the other forces who get a blank check. We always make do with what little funding or even recognition, but believe me, this is no shock to anyone who has had security watch in the middle of the night on a WMEC, seeing that our tech is in the 1960's, what business does a company that make aircraft, know anything about the seA, there thats the problem.

mindplayr Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - 123's have been pulled from service

LoriLasko Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Thank you for doing this.

mshadowswannabe Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - wow and i just strolled in to a world of whatsum 1 explain

shawnstam Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I was a coastie once. Look dude you guys do nothing but rob the people by overcharging the goverment for shit they dont need. You stuff cost to much and probally went over budget. They dont need no stinking cameras thats why they watch standers, by putting in cameras you are taking away a leaning tool. Yes standing watch is a learning tool it teaches young men responsibility and integrity. Sounds like to me someone did not get there pockets full enough and is mad.

shawnstam Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I am not saying that you are wrong for blowing the wistle but the big airplanes companys have no bussiness building boats. This stuff goes on all the time and you story will probally be burried. The coast gaurd will make due with what they have. Besides we have been using ships that are 60 years old for years and they made them work.

imispgh Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - You are not well informed. The cameras were being providers specifically because they wanted to reduce the watch standers. As for being over budget. Most companies in defense under bid on purpose to win the work. It's not a good practice but it is what is.

abraxas365 Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Now if someone like you only worked for General Dynamics... ... at least then we could find out what the hell is going wrong with the LCS project.I don't care what others say. You're a US patriot to me.

leatherheadrules Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Thank you for this video. Thats real deep speach. 5 stars

pangealabs Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - Is it wise to post your country's weakness in it's homeland security. On you tube for just anybody to see. I mean, I'm not American, I've never even visited, so in the interest of American Homeland Security (what a strange thing to call it by the way) I'm pretty sure I shouldn't know this stuff.

whorewrangler Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - I believe this guy. This is not information anybody needs to make public. Remember what happened to Heraldo.
