Sep 6, 2008 - This song has been resurrected by the Target chain of stores. They are using it in their TV ad campaign. There are no songs like the ones from this era and even today's ad execs realize it.

Sep 6, 2008 - The song is actually sung by movie/TV star Christopher Jones, who played the character Max Frost in the 1968 film "Wild In The Streets."

Sep 6, 2008 - Christopher Jones was lip synching. The true singer is Paul Wibier. The movie is a great piece of 60s Americana.

Sep 6, 2008 - This song was covered by Wolverhampton heroes Slade in 1970. It led to their first ever appearance on Top of the Pops. Unfortunately, their version didn't chart. Of course they did go on to have six UK chart-toppers during the '70s. Their version is on my favourites.
