Oct 10, 2008 - The thing about Matthew's Sawyer and Josh's Sawyer is that they are different. I don't just mean how they represent the character, but how they were written. Matthew was reading for how Sawyer was supposed to be before the characters were changed around. The Sawyer Matthew is reading for is a more uptight con man. He's the wannabe. The guy who represents something he's not. The watch, the suit, he's fake. But there would have been -

Oct 10, 2008 - more to him. Josh's Sawyer is a more laid back con man from the South, someone who's anger gets the best of him. In some ways they were not reading for the same man. But I think Matthew would have handled Sawyer beautifully. People don't think he can becuase Josh already has the role. I think Matthew would have done a great job. I like his style. But I prefer him as Jack.

Oct 10, 2008 - Then you are going to have to report Josh Holloway for racism, becuase that's what he said about it. He said that he even had to get his accent back because in the beginning Sawyer was not going to have an accent. I did nothing wrong.

Oct 10, 2008 - Writers Guild strike 20072008 screwed a lot of TV shows. It's why season 4 was only 14 episodes, a lot of the plot/character development etc was compressed/discarded to fit into 14 episodes. Season 5 will make up for it though. Hopefully.
