Oct 6, 2008 - ya u need to do something with that snare. it sounds bad. there is no crack to it. It sounds more like a tom than a snare.

Oct 6, 2008 - nice go check out my grestch solo...peace.
AugDrum Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - he's got the snares off.. wonderboy.
prsamazing Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - I know that but it still sounds like it is half way between off and on type of sound and it sounds weird.
Vromopoutanos01 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - u guys hafta know that even tho the shell kit is nice, the snare is a bit awful, and plus its recorded through a shitty cam in a room with shitty acoustics (and shitty playing but that's not the point ^^) so there's a huge difference between i get and what u get sound-wise..
prsamazing Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - Ya thats true.
mrfunnymonkeyman Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - did you get the fusion set? with the 10' 12' and 14' toms?are you using the extra clamp they give you?because I have been wondering if I can make mine into a 4 piece like that.
Vromopoutanos01 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - yeah its the fusion.well its not an extra clampu know that pole with the two tom brackets that goes into the BD? i just took one of the brackets and mounted into a straight cymbal stand, that particular one is a yamaha.generally yeah u hafta love who versatile gretsch is to set up with minimal equipment.
mrfunnymonkeyman Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - which tom is that? 10' or 12'.so when my set gets delivered from musicians friend I can do that same thing? without buying anything?
Vromopoutanos01 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - it's the 10' but u can easily do it with any other tom size, i used to have my 12 inch set up the same way but really low and used it as a 2nd floor tom.yeah man if ur kit has the standard gretsch mounting system that mine does i believe that u can do it.of course dont take me up on that i might be wrong and the clamp wont fit ur cymbal stand for instance so u might give it a lil more research.and btw u made a reall good choice man! catalina is truly the best kit in that price range!
garettlb2 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - man you really need to caome up with some exciting riffs and grooves those are really old. and btw hit the drums there not gonna hit back . dont let the drum play you

Oct 6, 2008 - do you recomend his drum set???????????
cohenmkarnell Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - it's kind of silly to just hate it... i mean, it just makes more drumming patterns possible.
isaacmurillo21 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - I couldnt enjoy the video as much as I wanted to cause the sounds distorded...nice kit though. GREASTCH RULES!!!
redwolf754 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - Decent chops .sound was way distorted .also snare doesnt really sound like a snare, had to much ring to it or something rest of the kit sounde pretty decent as far as i could tell again the sound was kinda distorted. Was interested to hear what the birch series drums sound like
cichlidkeeper89 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - Vromopoutanos01, that snare sucks huh? i have that same kit (but its set up as a six piece)the snare that it came with pisses me off. the rest of the kit sounds good. when i get a new snare, I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE ON THE OLD ONE. LOL
Hyce777 Says:
Oct 6, 2008 - Hey, nice job, but just a little thing if you're trying jazz: The hi hat is "chicked" on 2&4, and the bass drum shouldn't be loud... It should act more as a tom, than a bass drum.
