Sep 7, 2008 - Awesome comeback, right up there with "ur mom". Honestly, did you stay up all night writing that one?

katterfelto Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - No, I dumbed it down especially for you.

valonthegreat Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Sounds shot tbh

kardonpr Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Music is like food, not everyone shares the same kind of music. Her guitar playing is weird, because her ideas are weird. If you enjoy her for what she's envisioning with her playing, all will be fine. If not, well, there are other musicians to listen to.

Zadokor Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - that's pretty interesting.

demonizedin42 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - if it's not your taste -fine- played guit. for over 20 yrs. chick's awesome. this is inventful. Her tech skill &knowledge surpass many. I like this tune cause (bear w/me-am part-handicapped theory-wise) she used augmented, minor,(?) slight diminished, but more likely dissonant theory structure for this.(luv augmented & minor btw) this is very prog. w/o being 2experimental.in this semidigital age of music /=good to hear sound like this. -get off the soapbox across me & give her props. Caio!

ClicheDisdain Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - I'm sorry. Obviously disliking this guitarist means I have no taste in music and the cognitive facilities of a 5 year old. Get off your high horse and let someone else have an opinion. If I happen to come across a video and dislike it there's nothing wrong with making a comment. Don't take it personally.

prismconnection Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - isnt that what "making" it in the music industry consist of? IMPRESSING people to show youre not like the millions of people who have no talent to show off in the first place

khbgkh Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - i understand consonance and dissonance. but songs are always better when there's an actual melody. listening to it again i don't hate it as much. But the beginning is just a bunch of noise. I just can't stand music that is atonal or on the verge of being so. This music is definitely tonal but it's got no structure to it. idk how else to explain why i don't like this.

katterfelto Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - How am I not letting you have an opinion? Your opinion appears right here on this page, along with mine. It happens to be filled with bitterness and angst, but hey, I'm not denying you have the right to it. And how am I taking it personally? Nowhere did I say "quit attacking me!" As far as my high horse - he's a part of the family. And does "there's nothing wrong with making a comment" include me, or is that exclusive to you?

thenerocomplex Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - thats why it's called 'playing with pink noise'!

seaharvester Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - this song definitely has a structure, maybe it's just too complicated for you to see(hear) the structure.

6ixpoint5ive Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - those sweep tap things were so kick ass

nondescript92 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - im speechless...

guitargeorge007 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - granted what she's doing is new and innovative for the guitar, but if you look at her actual playing its not that great...poor rhythmic sense, no dynamics, and also there isnt a melody throughout the piece...even if it isnt supposed to have a central tone it still comes off as though she just kind of fooled around with percussive noises on the guitar.

sweetcondition Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - has anyone ever heard of john fahey? i have to say that everyone's criticisms of her were the same of john fahey. people changed their opinions decades later, but nevertheless. i think she is musically misunderstood in much the same way, if it is possible to be musically understood. i think all these music "experts" are paying too much attention to established music theory and aren't letting their imaginations get the better of them. and this is why i hate going into guitar center.

bigwil3479 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - i def agree with sweetcondition. i mean theres so much already established and done so its refreshing to see stuff like this where it challenges you to try to put a label or to relate to another sound which in this case is a little difficult. tapping has been around for quite sometime now and so has earthy music and melodic acoustic stylings but not many people play that combo and not quite like this. all in all good stuff! not for everyone but jazz is the same way.

ClicheDisdain Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - You didn't express an opinion. All you did was attack mine, something you're still doing.

sxc5rhcp Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - this girl is taking the guitar to a new height a new dimension. I think she's awesome, I liked the song a lot, great original stuff!!

katterfelto Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Nah, just an opinion, just like you.Have a nice day.

meshellndegeocello Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - What an amazing talent. Happy Birthday Kaki :)

PlasticHammer09 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - i think the studio version is much better than this, go check out that one.

uglyguitarguy Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - It's really good, but nothing all that "new." Stanley Jordan was doing this 25 years ago. Love to see guitar played so well though.

jons923 Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - More like Preston Reed or Michael Hedges.

dbarsell Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - Wow. Loved it.
